Dinghy Training - Pay & Play

Oxford Sailing Club House
Have you learnt to sail, but not yet ready to go out on your own. Could you benefit from hints and tips from an instructor? Then read on.....

What is it?
  • Supervised weekly sailing sessions for novices of Level 2 standard and above.
  • Anyone is welcome: members and non-members.
  • Casual sailing with dedicated rescue cover, help with rigging, and sailing advice from a fully qualified, experienced instructor.
  • Use your own boat, or hire one from the club.
  • Club boats include Picos, Laser, Laser 2, Wayfarers, Laser 2000s, Dart 16.
  • Short fun races with pre and post course discussion.
  • Chance to meet other Novice sailors, and have a beer at the end!
When is it?
  • Tuesday evenings, 6.00pm – 8.30pm (April to October) Meet in main club room at 6pm, ready to launch at 6.30.
How much is it (per person per session) ?
  • £10 when using a club boat (£5 using your own boat)
  • £5 for wet suite and buoyancy aid (if required)
How do I book?
  • No pre-booking required, just turn up at 6pm, Tuesday.
  • Club boats allocated on a first-come- first-served basis.
